Check-ups and preventive diagnosis (Mallorca · Can Pastilla)

Periodic check-ups allow us to find problems before they hurt: initial cavities, gingivitis, bruxism wear or microfractures. At our dental clinic in Can Pastilla we perform a comprehensive evaluation so that your treatment is conservative, comfortable and affordable.

Medical history, dental and periodontal examination, occlusal and TMJ evaluation, photographs and X-rays only when indicated. If appropriate, sealants, fluoridations or referral to orthodontics/implantology/aesthetics.

Periodicity
Between 6 and 12 months depending on risk (gums, diet, hygiene, tobacco, orthodontics, implants). Periodontal patients: more frequent.

Why go if "nothing hurts"?

Because initial cavities, gingivitis or fissures don't hurt at first. Detecting them in time avoids root canals, tooth loss or expensive treatments.

Do they always take X-rays?

Only if indicated by risk or clinical findings. We use minimal exposure protocols and digital techniques.

What happens if they detect bruxism?

We document it with photos and records, reinforce hygiene and guidelines, and usually indicate a splint and stress management. The goal is to protect teeth, implants and joints.

How do I prepare for the first visit?

Bring current medication, medical reports and expectations. We will make a clear plan with priorities and alternatives.
