Professional dental cleaning removes plaque, tartar and stains that brushing cannot, preventing gingivitis and periodontitis. In Can Pastilla we combine ultrasound and air polishing to leave surfaces smooth that hinder bacterial adhesion.

Gum exploration, plaque/tartar identification, ultrasonic descaling, guided interdental hygiene and polishing. We also teach you a personalized hygiene technique for your mouth.

Frequency
Generally every 6-12 months; periodontal patients or those with implants may require quarterly maintenance.

Does it damage the enamel?

No. The tips act on the calculus, not on the enamel. Subsequently, the polishing leaves the surface smooth to hinder bacterial adhesion.

How often should I do it?

Depending on the risk: saliva, genetics, habits, orthodontics, implants or delicate gums. For most people, between 6 and 12 months; if you have periodontitis, more frequent appointments.

Does it hurt or bleed?

It should not hurt; if there is inflammation there may be mild discomfort or bleeding that improves by controlling plaque. We can use topical anesthesia in sensitive areas.

What care should I follow afterwards?

Usual hygiene; airpolished brush, limit highly pigmenting foods 24 h. And maintain water as the main drink between meals.
